Nauschwanstein more Munich and Regensburg

For the past few days we have been busy touring Munich, Dachau, and Neuschwanstein.

The photograph to the right was taken in the Residence in Munich. You may recognize this hall. It was used in the film "Luther" the hall was built during the time of Maxamillon the first of Bavaria (I am not sure of the exact date) this building housed the Bavarian royal family and later The Electors family and on occasion housed the Emperor and his family.

On Sunday we visited Neuschwanstein and Hohnschwangau. We had lots of fun climbing the steep hillside to get a gorgeous view of the valley bellow. The castles were great as usual. Hohnschwangau had more too see since it predates Neuschwanstein. Neuschwanstein was built by Ludwig II of Bavaria during the American Civil War. It was never completed due to his untimely death. He was in the midst of building numerous castles and palaces around Bavaria consuming millions of public funds.

On Monday we left Munich for Regensburg. We arrived at around 2 pm. We then visited ST. Peter’s Cathedral and met up with Theresa. We haven't seen Michael yet. We hope to see them on Wednesday.

In honor of Tuesday night Bible study we had Pizza today. They were HUGE!!! :)

We hope to see you soon.
