Deutschland ~Part 1

We flew from Düsseldorf and arrived in Nürnberg at 6 PM. We picked up the rental car (Mercedes Benz :) ) and drove to Altmannstein were our friends are putting us up for the last ten days of our trip.

It took us about an hour to reach our friend’s house. We arrived sometime around 8 PM. It has been nice staying with our friends. We have not seen them for over two years and our reunion has been joyful. I have been looking forward to our time in Deutschland; to walk in familiar streets and converse with familiar people.
So far we have visited the following:

Riedenburg and Rosenburg
We saw a falconry show that was excellent. The Vultures were a bit freaky though especially when they fly so close over you. I was in the middle of taking a picture when one of them clipped me with it’s wing as it flew over. Those things are HUGE!

Kristallmuseum
This crystal was found in Kansas, USA. It is the largest crystal ever to be found in the world. It weighs about 7 tons.

Passau

Bayerischer Wald (The Bavarian Forest)

Dad feeling more his size... :)

Gläserne Scheune
Here we saw some glass art and met some of the artists

Our time here in Europe is drawing to a swift closure. I am looking forward to see you all at home, but I am not sure that I am quite ready to leave Deutschland yet. :)

See you all soon,
Jeremy
