Day 6 - 7 ~ Philadelphia

We made it to our apartment in Philadelphia at around 10 PM (EST). We spent too much time in Gettysburg. We took our rental car into town and went about exploring. On the second day of our stay here we ran into a flash rain storm. We were all soaked. My camera got a bit damp as well. So far my Camera has been working. I had a bit of a fog on the lens, but after I cleaned the lens I think it will be OK.

Here is what we saw:
This is the house where we stayed
The Philadelphia skyline taken in a moving vehicle. I need a polarized filter....
Independence Hall. The declaration of Independence and the US Constitution we drafted and signed in these buildings.

Yes, I'm here!

The Liberty Bell
We stopped at a farmer's market similar to Pike Place in Seattle

We stopped at an Amish eatery in the Reading Terminal Market. We had turkey dinners, chicken potpie and burgers. YUM!

Dad and I had to stop to try a Philly Cheese Steak. It wasn't too bad.

They looked really good, but no time to eat....

This was a real treat. We went to the U.S. Mint and got to see how sheets of copper, nickle and quarter become our coinage.

Ben Franklin in his final resting place.

hmmm... Too bad. It looked nice here. I'm about 200 years too late
See you all when we get back,
Jeremy
